Southern African Reggae Music Association now a registered Entity

Greetings Reggae Family

This is to inform the Reggae community that the Southern African Reggae Music Association (SARMA) is now registered as a legal entity, the Registrar gave us the good news on Monday the 19th of October 2015. The association was formed in 2013 at the Moshito conference where an interim committee was elected to see to it that the organization was set up and registered. Late 2014 the interim committee agreed to a change of strategy, the new strategy was to establish Provincial structures that would elect their Provincial administrations that would together with the other Provincial structures form the National Structure.

The Western Cape was then allowed to form a Provincial structure that was also tasked to get the association registered. Now that SARMA is registered there is a lot of hard work ahead for all of us. Reggae practitioners will be contacted via e-mail to communicate strategy and to get input from all as to how we can collectively achieve the goals and objective of SARMA. Everyone should remember that SARMA does not belong to individuals but it’s a vehicle that should be used by everyone to serve those who are involved in Reggae including the members of the public who love Reggae music and have been struggling to get their hand on the beloved music genre. Below are the objectives of the association,
