On Thursday, 05 March 2015, at 21:30 a new Reggae Music TV show will premier on Bay TV DSTV channel 260. Isingqi SamaRasta is a new Reggae music TV show brewed in the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth. Isingqi means the Rhythm [Riddim] of Rasta which is the heartbeat of Rasta. The producers felt that the name is fitting for a show like this, a first in PE and probably the second in Mzansi. The name captures the essence of the show and is self explanatory in describing its contents.
“The show is all about Rasta lifestyle, music, food, fashion, arts, culture, informative and everything Rasta. We will feature guest artists, profile designers, crafters or visual artists, give diet tips or ital dishes as well play music videos and we would like to cover live Reggae events around Mzansi;” explains Andile Poswa who is the producer of the Show.
He and his fellow collaborators decided to take matters in their own hands by simply pitching to the channel with a convincing proposal and the result was a prime time slot on Bay TV, a community Television Station of the Nelson Mandela Bay Area with National Coverage.
The show will be hosted by the multi-talented Andile Poswa who is also the producer and researcher for the show. Lorenzo Bonani under Lorenzo Productions will co-produce with Slux Febana as D.O.P and Camera Operator; and Hendricks will be on the controls as Editor. Azzoh Kania and Erica Eberhardt handle the PR and online Promotions.

Isingqi SamaRasta will have 80% Mzansi Content and 20% international. They appeal to the fellow Rastafarian/Reggae Dancehall community to provide them with content and activities that is worth coverage to make this a worthwhile platform for showcasing the culture in a positive light and reversing the negative perception about the Rasta community.
“We making history and the people must be ready to be part of it.” Andile Poswa
Isingqi samaRasta will air every Thursday at 21:30 on Bay TV DSTV channel 26. Save the date.
