Black Dillinger – 345
Title: 345
Artist: BLACK DILLINGER
Exec Producer: BASHMENT SOUND SA
Distribution: 21st Hapilos
Official Release: Friday 23 September 2016
Fresh from releasing his acclaimed single, Letter To Thuli Madonsela, Black Dillinger is back with a brand new single #345 on the Pharaoh Riddim (featuring various artists). It is not often that an artist can do socially-conscious reggae music and still be able to hold it down in dancehall.
With #345 Black Dillinger showcases his versatility as a Reggae/Dancehall entertainer with such ease. The song addresses what many South African artists struggle with, making a decent living through their music “Me try to make a milli in a week”. In #345 Black Dillinger also pays homage to his longtime DJ/Manager, @SelectaO aka Selecta O’ Juggler with whom he’s been collecting small amounts “fifteen thousand, thirty thousand” towards his million a week dream.
Within reggae/dancehall circles #345 has come to represent the “hussle” with “Dilli” determined to represent the genre as the main “hussler” for the recognition and respect it deserves. This time, Jah Muzik Productionz partnered with Bashment Sound and the official release is 23 September 2016. Pharaoh riddim will, surely, be one of the best dancehall riddim releases for 2016 and #345 will confirm Black Dillinger as “The General” of the African reggae/dancehall scene.
