Menelik Nesta Gibbons, known professionally as Don Dada, has released his single MEMORIES. Internationally acclaimed Multi-Platinum artist Don Dada’s music is produced locally and internationally. His catalog of music has productions by legendary producers such as Sly & Robbie, Delroy Thompson, Sir Clement “Coxstone” Dodd, Leroy Scarlet, founder of the Reggae Powerhouse Band, and Grammy Award winner Touter Harvey, to name a few.
MEMORIES was inspired by Don Dada reflecting and reminiscing on what felt like the speed of his daughter reaching high school age. The realisation of his days away on tour and acknowledging that the life of a musician is so much more complex than what is seen on stage birthed the track concept.
The production for the song was created by renowned producers super producer RApz and Rashid Lanie, utilising a deep, driving bass accompanied by melodic strings and chords that drive the song forward with a beautiful energy and infectious tempo, adding a pop feel to the song.
