NC Dread’s brand new tune entitled ‘DEM CAH STOP MI’ is a testimony of his unwavering focus in making it in the reggae music scene. He has, in the past 2 years, moved from having his music played locally to djs playing his music in each continent! It has not been an easy road to reach the level that NC Dread has achieved. This song depicts his musical journey that has been tough and full of obstacles (both physical and spiritual) but he states in his song that “…dem do whatever dem do, but dem cah stop mi…” He hopes that the song becomes an inspiration to upcoming artists in their musical journey and moreover, the personal journey that each individual takes.
This single is based on the successful and strong ‘party vibe’ riddim called Mullet Bay Riddim produced by one of the biggest producers to come out of Jamaica, Fras Twinz Music alongside DJ Outkast, who have endorsed and are promoting tune in Jamaica and abroad. The riddim featured dancehall heavy weights such as General Degree, Red Rat, T.O.K just to name a few, and now representing Africa once again, NC Dread has proved to be a force to be reckoned with in the African dancehall scene and the globe. The song has been playlisted on one of Jamaica’s biggest radio stations, ZIPFM. It is already receiving airplay in other countries such as Malawi, Nigeria and UK in its first week of release.
