The 26th Annual South African Music Awards announced the opening for SAMA26 entries. The entries are open from 01 November 2019 – 31 January 2020. Entries submitted after the said dates will not be accepted. Entries are for work/albums that has been released and made commercially available from the 01 February 2019 – 31 January 2020.
The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) exist to recognize accomplishments in the South African recording industry, by honouring and celebrating those groups and individuals who have excelled in the relevant entry or qualifying period. The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) is the organizer and host of the SAMAs.
RiSA provides entrants with forms that must be completed and submitted online. On completion of the online entries, the following assets are required to have reached the RiSA office by no later than the published closing date of the competition, failing which the entry is disqualified:

The SAMA 26 rules document and entry requirements are available on the entries system or the SAMA website for downloading. Take special note of the entry requirements and ensure that your entries have been submitted correctly on the system. A computer generated invoice will be sent to you once you have finalized your entries. Entries will only be accepted if full RiSA levies, membership fees and entries payment has been made.Entries are open to RiSA members and non-RiSA members alike. Entries are open in respect of any qualifying groups or individuals.
Ensure that all requested items are either delivered to the SAMA office at RiSA Unit 1, 152 Bram Fischer Drive, Randburg on or before 31 January 2020 at 17:00. Alternatively, you can upload the required documents on the entry site as you proceed with your entry. If you are a RiSA member and you have not yet paid your RiSA levies/membership, please note that you will not be able to enter at a RiSA member discounted rate. To pay your levies/membership and to ensure that everything is in order so that you do qualify for the discounted rate, please contact the accounts department at RiSA.
