DreadLloyd real name Lonwabo Nokilana was born and raised in Gugulethu, Cape Town. While growing up he watched Black Dillinger perform on different stages and this inspired him to work harder to take his own talents to the next level.
In 2019 he realised his dream of working with the best when he was added Jah Muzik Productionz’ label’s stellar roster of artists which includes but not limited to the award winning Black Dillinger, Y Ata B, DJ Blakka, Moon Queen, amongst others.
The song is a dedication to his mentor and label boss Black Dillinger after Lavado released a song about him which seeks to undermine Black Dillinger and DreadLloyd creatively plays with the name Mavara is King and sets to set the record straight that the king is one and still is. The song features VGL and produced for Jah Muzik Productionz by Royal Ozi.
