African Storm Sound Presents the Battle Crew for Culture Clash

African Storm Sound Ready Fi War.

African Storm Sound System will be defending their title and representing Reggae at the Redbull Culture Clash 2017 against Hip Hop, House and Afro Beat. Billed as the Biggest soundsystem clash in South Africa with 4 stages, 4 sounds, each crew will be fronted by headline artists: AKA (Hip Hop); DJ Tira (House); Pato Ranking (Afro Beat) and Admiral and Jahseed holding it down for Dancehall.The day of the battle is set for 23rd of September at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

Here African Storm Sound System introduces the crew that will be on the frontlines on the battle day. Stand-up comedian Tall Ass Mo and Speedy, ex-member of Award winning Afro pop group Bongo Muffin will be part of the main crew as ‘the unpredictable entertainment weapon’, stated by Admiral in the video. Fire Lady, Tokyo and Shortz, African Storm’s Dancehall Queens and trumpcard will complete the lineup.

In the lead up to the big day, fans can start showing their support online by sharing to Facebook or Twitter. They can even make a sound system themed profile picture with the profile pic generator available here. AKA and his Top Boys are currently in the lead with the social media support they’re getting from their fans. African Storm and DJ Tira following closely behind. Fans can support their crew by tagging individual sound system handles, hashtags and #redbullcultureclash.

The Culture Clash concept was initiated by the Red Bull Music Academy  and involves the four crews going head to head, over a series of rounds, in a  music battle to determine the overall winner. It’s four stages – four sounds but only one winner on the night.
