Charly Black [Desmond Mendize] the country boy from Trelawney in Jamaica has gone global with a string of singles that has seen him capture the hearts of audiences from Europe to Africa. His charm and charisma has endeared him a loyal fan base and is fast becoming one of the most widely received and passionately influential artists of his day. His collaboration with Wayne Marshall on ‘Thank God its Christmas‘ saw him featured alongside Dancehall heavy weights Sean Paul, Merciless and Fambo. His most popular songs include Jamaican Everyday, Too Blessed, House Party and Bike Back. The Buddy Buddy hitmaker transitioned from soundboy, working with Bass Odessy, to recording artiste effortlessly as his hit songs made a mark on dancehall charts world wide.
He has now gone foreign, having concluded his European Party Animal Tour which touched in France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Austria. He is now bringing The Party Animal Tour to Africa with two dates completed in Mauritius in early June. His next stop on his Party Animal Tour is set for July, 31 Live in Cape Town and 01 August Live in Johannesburg.
Digital One, the Zimbabwe based promotions company who is responsible for the South Africa and Zimbabwe leg of the Tour, have confirmed the dates in South Africa before going to Zimbabwe.
The main supporting acts include Seh Calaz & Souljah Love who are two power houses in Zimbabwean Reggae industry; the Cape Town line up will be completed by Goba, Crosby, Korianda, Mazhambe and Drum Dada.
In Johannesburg he will be supported by Momo Dread and Codread.
