Kenny ‘Wailer’ Murabi to perform at the Bob Marley Fest 2019 – Pretoria

Adziambei Music Academy presents the 2019 BOB MARLEY EARTH DAY FESTIVAL to be held in Tshwane Salvokop on 02 February 2019. The festival aims to pay special tribute to the legend of Reggae music, the Honourable Robert Nesta Marley for bringing us sweet Reggae sounds from the Island of Jamaica. The festival will feature live performances fromwell-known elder Kenny ‘Wailer’ Murabi, award winning Jah Soldier, Steve ‘Dubmaster’ Ṋetshishivhe, Lutendo of the ‘MusadziwavhoRasta’ fame, ‘Dread Mash’, SivharaMulaudzi bandand many other artists.

Kenny Murabi is a legend on his own. His first album, “Holy War” was released in 1999 and is still one of the best albums to come out on local scenery. His other albums include ‘Tsharivhone’(2005),’Tshikhokhonono’(2013), and ‘Ambani’(2017). Kenny, who is a qualified teacher, is always a marvel to watch on stage.

Jah Soldier is a 2015 TSHIMA award winner for his album ‘Nndededze’. He recently released his latest album titled ‘Ndiyalivhuwa’.“Reggae has played a huge role in the liberation of the African continent and we just want to say to Jamaican people, Thank you!.  I’ll be performing some material from my latest album so people must expect nothing but fireworks in Salvokop”. SivharaMulaudzi band boasts a Nine year old bass guitarist, Murunwa and they have just returned from Malawi where they performed to a multitudes of music lovers.

The festival will also feature performances by artists like ‘Radical Dread’ ‘Toshman aka VhafamaḓiṊevari’, ‘RasIso’ and ‘Lufuno’.Tshwane can expect energetic performances from these artists who are determined to take music to the masses in this golden year of Reggae.

The Bob Marley Earth Day Festival will be held at Salvoko , HaMkumbane ,Salvokop in Tshwane starting at 17H00 till late. Entrance is Free.
