Speak the Mind Spoken Word sessions – now in its 8 year –
is part of the Johannesburg Arts Alive International Festival.
It is a spoken word and music event that brings together artists from the continent and the diaspora
It is a mixed bill of poetry and music and the exploration of the two genres on one stage.
Legendary Dub Poet Mutabaruka once blessed us with his presence in previous sessions
And this year was the delightful Jah9 who graced us with her lyrical prowess.
The headline act, Natalie ‘The Floacist’ Stewart rendered an unforgettable performance.
