Joseph Mpho Sennelo (Kosha) was born on the 7th of April 1995.Born in one of the rural areas (Ratjiepane) in Hammanskraal North West province in South Africa. His stage name Kosha meaning music was given to him by his peers in the community seeing as to how passionate he was in music at a very tender age .He had made himself a homemade guitar and he would go around the township playing while singing along.
As he grew older he moved to Mabopane Pretoria in Gauteng province. On arrival he learned there’s a music school (Lesiba School of Creative Arts) around which he attended. On the journey to self-discovery he started in jazz then moved to afro pop but never quite felt the part . He then got introduced to reggae inspired by the likes of the Marley family, Colbert Mukwevho, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Burning Spear, to mention a few. Where he settled he found peace and expression in the music. It was spiritually uplifting that where he could creatively express himself where he felt in sync.| | | Next → | Single Page« Back to Glossary Index
