Powertainment Sound brings African Storm to Rustenburg

Powertainment Productions Int’l, established in 1998 in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, Leribe, is a Reggae and Dancehall sound promoting shows in Lesotho, Bloemfontein and Rustenburg. The main one being in Lesotho – The 6th Annual Reggae and Dancehall Summer Fest to be held this year on 26th December 2014.
The Production crew became popular in Mzansi when “DonPower”, head honcho at Powertainment moved to Bloemfontein in 2007 to pursue a personal career. Powertainment then started to make moves in Mzansi and hosted several shows in Bloemtown, at the Technikon of Free State, University of Free State , in the CBD the Ghetto.
The Rustenburg migration came after DonPower’s career move to the mines in Rustenburg.

‘The Reggae movement in Rustenburg is 2 years old, the build-up on the movement in North West province has been overwhelming and challenging, with so much positivity for growth in Reggae n Dancehall Muzik.’ Explains Don Power

They have hosted Mzansi’s finest DJs like Shaka Zulu, DJ Fanta Jozi, Jah Crucial, Mad Lizzard, DJ Munya, BadmanZim and Artist like Teban Cee, Jeremiah Fyah Ises, Gangalee, Sandy Orace, Faya Uman, Muzzla kartel, Skeleton Blazer, Momo Dread, Blaq Supreme and Fyah Prince.
And now they will be bringing for the first time in the North West Province, Mzansi’s most celebrated duo, Jah Seed and Admiral of African Storm Sound System. This is Gauteng’s no. 1 Sound System with a weekly Radio show on YFM on Wednesdays and the longest running weekly gig – Fire Thursdays at Bassline, Johannesburg.

‘The African Storm gig is for my Earth strong celebrations, with all the hard works I brought forth as a Chief in Powertainment family for the concept and movement. We put up these shows to thank all our people in Rustenburg, all fans and friends who have always supported us on our works from day one.’ DonPower

Massive vibe and the hype on the show is the talk of di town.
