Iyah Angel born Oageng Nkgothoe in Lehurutshe ,Moshana village in Zeerust. I started schooling at Lencoe Primary school and completed my matric at Mpololokang High School. The love of reggae music developed in me when i was doing my matric .I started my music career back in 2010 and being introduced to the music industry by Mpho Fyah Prince Nthai from Venda in Limpopo. My first radio interview was at Mashishing FM in Mpumalanga while i was out there doing my recordings at Kasi Agenda Records. I grew up listening to the likes of Bob Marley, Peter tosh, Burning Spear and more until I realized I can also write a song. In 2011 I was working at THF RECORDINGS as a recording artist and a song writer, and I was working on an EP which ended up not being released due to some misunderstandings with the management and later on I decided to leave THF. IN 2014 I did my single “big up ” at Rustyville records owned by Lewy dalyrist. In 2015 and 2016 I took a break trying to raise funds for studio time. 2017 I came back after receiving a beat/riddim from Mk Productions in London and I used it to record my single “love is the answer ” at Jenny C records, and the single was released online and within 2 weeks I got a invite to come and perform at club silk in Rustenburg that’s where I performed my single “love is the answer “and my fans where happy to see me back on stage. In 2017 on January I was awarded 60 US dollars by benefit music in California and it gave me hope to move on until this far.2017 was my year because I managed work with lot of local artists/producers and also international. I did “repatriation ” featuring Micky Rasta from Ethiopia but now based in South Africa, I also released “never diss ” beat/riddim from Jamaica under Team Blue Entertainment and soon it will be on radio stations all over. I also released “tlhompha batsadi” which is album compilation for catch up riddim featuring the likes of Fyah Prince, Ragga dam dee, kulcha siano and more. Am now working on 2 riddims that I received from Netherlands under Propaganjahbeatz, and let’s hope 2018 will also be a good one for me.
