Samkelo Siba was born in a small town called Alice in the Western Cape near Tyhume river at Majwarheni location. I am the last born of five. I was raised by my grandparents. My grandfather was a farmer. It is in this farming business where I developed praise singing skills. I used to be fascinated by all the actions that the cows used to do like fighting and I would praise them so as to keep on fighting. As I grew up I would be invited in funerals and weddings so as to entertain people. I then decide to let my pen down on a piece of paper so as to keep records. After matric, matters forced me to come to Cape Town. In the process of trying to find some life in Cape Town I met MVRQ I think around 2002. He figured out that I am a praise singer and invited me one day to visit his band. He invited me to feature in one of his songs titled (LE NGUBO). That was the beginning of our journey up to date. This is where I learned that African style can be integrated with Western style. Today I am bringing a single titled (NGCAMBUNDINI YENKOHLAKALO) with Linomtha Linho. Behind still MVRQ is there still motivating so as to say everything is possible.
