July 01 Is International Reggae Day.
This is 24 hours of celebration for reggae culture and its influence on the rest of the world. The objective is to celebrate the best of Reggae Music and its worldwide impact using the power of music, media and communication technology. The Conquerors Reggae, a Roots Reggae band based in Cape Town, in association with CannaKulture are hosting an IRD at Bfasa Insangu Dispensary in Franshoek. They invite all and sundry to join them in celebration of this day on July 01, 2023! The day will be filled with Live Music, food, stalls and good 420 friendly vibes.

DJ Citie Exclusive (Zimbabwe)
DJ Citie Exclusive is a versatile artist whose works include Music Production, Photography and Sound
Engineering In 2016 Citie moved to Cape Town, South Africa and started focusing on his career as an
entertainer. By 2017 he had started playing in clubs around Cape Town and hosting some of his Gigs. 2019 till now. He then started working with international artist(s) and other international deejays and getting international bookings from Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Ghana,
Zambia. He has also worked with Jamaican artists like Turbulence, Sean Kingston.
Ghetto Warriors (Dancehall Act)
Ghetto Warriors is a dancehall/reggae group from Kraaifontein, Cape Town. Consisting of 3 members, Rudy-D, Prophet and Big Voice. Which 2 of the members being actual brothers and the third being “as close as family can be”. The group was formed in 2009 in Wallacedene drawing inspiration from their musical parents as all 3 members have grown up with parents in the music business. This would also inspire the group to later brand their studio as Musical Youth Records Studios to pay tribute to the parent’s band Musical Youth Band (CPT). Starting off as just Performing artist without a recorded song the group would go on for 5years doing only live shows due to not having a recording space and would end up becoming one of Cape Town’s most popular Dancehall group. During these 5years the group was also noted/recognised as the first Cape Town Dancehall group.
Conquerers Reggae Band
The Conquerors Reggae Band is all about roots Reggae and promoting a positive message through their music. Their main objective is to contribute to nation building, social cohesion and spread universal love while making you skank to the groovy rhythms of their original music. Their ultimate goal, becoming international reggae ambassadors from South Africa! Performing regularly at Cape Town Reggae festivals such as the Annual Paarl Rasta Cultural Festival, Monwabisi Reggae Legends Sunsplash and Cape Town Reggae Sunsplash. The Conquerors has become a household name in the CPT reggae fraternity. Starting out in 2009, the band is growing from strength to strength and continues to push the message of one love, peace and unity through their original roots’ reggae music.
